FPT Continues to Rank Among the Top Stocks with the Best Sustainability Index in the Market

The Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange (HoSE) has recently announced the list of 20 component stocks of the VNSI index - a price index calculated by the market capitalization-adjusted free transfer ratio, consisting of stocks of companies with the best sustainability scores listed on the HoSE under the VN100.
FPT is the only tech stock in the VNSI (Sustainable Development Index) portfolio with an overall ESG (Environment - Social - Governance) score of 76%.
In detail, FPT scored 65% in the environmental category, with the VN100 group's average being 60%; in the social category, FPT achieved a score of 84%, while the VN100 group's average was 67%; and FPT's corporate governance score was 70%, compared to the VN100 group's average of 65%.
According to HoSE, FPT's market capitalization as of October 24, 2023, was 116,837 billion VND, an increase of nearly 50% compared to the same period; the free transfer ratio is 85%.
HoSE launched VNSI in July 2017. VNSI is designed to serve as a reference tool or as an underlying asset for investment products such as ETFs (Exchange Traded Funds) and index derivatives in the future.
As of October 24, 2023, VNSI reached 1,741.08 points, an increase of 73.18% compared to the starting value, significantly outperforming VNINDEX (VNINDEX grew by 45.56% during the same period). The market capitalization of the 20 companies with stocks in the VNSI portfolio exceeded 1.5 million billion VND, equivalent to 63 billion USD (accounting for nearly 35% of the total market capitalization). It indicates that the price movement of the component stocks in VNSI 20 is positive compared to the overall market trend.
The assessment of ESG activities is based on widely published information and information provided by companies through the Sustainability Development Survey Questionnaire, which includes over 100 specific criteria. It is built on the GRI Standards platform of the Global Reporting Initiative, the G20/OECD Principles of Corporate Governance in 2015, the Best Practices Corporate Governance Principles in 2019, and some securities regulations in Vietnam.
