FPT University Launches Digital Transformation Major to Develop Strategic Human Resources

In response to the rapid advancement of technology and the urgent demand for digital talent, starting from 2025, FPT University (FPTU) officially launches and begins enrollment for the Digital Transformation major (BIT_DX). This marks a strategic step in training high-quality human resources, contributing to the implementation of Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo on national human resource development in association with digital transformation.

The curriculum of the Digital Transformation major is designed with a strong foundation in Information Technology, while integrating interdisciplinary knowledge in management, business, and modern technologies. Its training objective is to nurture experts and managers with strategic thinking, a deep understanding of the role and impact of technology within organizations, and the ability to design and lead digital transformation initiatives suited to real-world contexts. The Digital Transformation major belongs to the Information Technology program—FPT University’s undergraduate program that has been accredited by AQAS, an international quality assurance organization.

Students majoring in Digital Transformation are equipped with foundational knowledge in information technology, data science, and key technologies to apply in data analysis, business operations, and decision-making processes.

Students in this program will be equipped with foundational knowledge in Information Technology, Data Science, and core technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Big Data, Internet of Things (IoT), Cloud Computing, and Cybersecurity, enabling them to apply technology in data analysis, enterprise operations, and decision-making. In addition, students will be trained in critical thinking, creativity, teamwork, communication, and entrepreneurship—essential competencies in the digital era.

The program emphasizes practical learning through interdisciplinary projects, corporate internships, and specialized seminars with leading experts. Furthermore, FPT University implements various student entrepreneurship support programs, including direct funding for outstanding projects, enabling students to realize their business ideas while still at university.
