With this cooperation agreement, BTEC FPT - International Affiliate Program of FPT Polytechnic College - officially became the first college in Vietnam to have courses covering aspects of semiconductor technologies. This internationally acclaimed program is expected to contribute to nurturing the Vietnamese semiconductor workforce and accelerating the industry in the future.

Students studying Semiconductor Technology at BTEC FPT will be among the first batch in Vietnam to be formally trained, which help them get better job opportunities. This collaboration marks the first time an international standard semiconductor program at the college level has been transferred to Vietnam. Mr. Pham Vu Quoc Binh expressed high expectations for this collaboration at the event. He emphasized the role of education and training in producing high-quality personnel for the semiconductor industry: "As Mr. Truong Gia Binh once said about digital transformation: 'We have to be lightning-fast.' So, how will this lightning-fast pace in the semiconductor industry be realized? First, we need swift collaboration between the state, companies, and schools. Second, we need to be instantaneous in applying internationally standardized programs. With the mix of the above factors, we are delighted that FPT Polytechnic College and BTEC FPT have promptly promoted the launch of the international semiconductor training program in Vietnam."

The semiconductor industry has long been dubbed the "backbone" of the technology era and the foundation of modern computing. With a particularly significant role as the world enters a period of explosive research, application, and development of new technologies such as AI, IoT, 5G, and Big Data..., advanced countries prioritize research and development of the semiconductor industry. Therefore, joining this industry brings excellent opportunities for not only IT corporations but also tens of thousands of technology personnel.

Recently, FPT has announced its strategy to pursue the semiconductor industry. Along with AI, IoT, and automotive software technology..., the semiconductor is identified as one of the Corporation's top priorities in the coming time. FPT also announced the launch of a semiconductor engineer course in October to meet the demand for semiconductor personnel. This agreement between FPT Polytechnic College and Pearson UK is the following step to address the workforce issue.

FPT Education and Pearson Education have partnered for over five years. BTEC FPT has over 5000 students across Vietnam, with four campuses in Hanoi, Da Nang, Can Tho, and Ho Chi Minh City. BTEC FPT has created a dynamic, innovative international learning environment, providing numerous career opportunities for Vietnamese students. 98% of BTEC FPT graduates get jobs with good earnings. The long-term relationship and achievements are the basis for the successful collaboration of BTEC FPT and Pearson this time.
