Vietnam Offers an Intensive Training Program on IC Design Aligned with International Standards

In a recent event held in Mumbai, India, the signing ceremony for the curriculum transfer of the Integrated Circuit (IC) Design training program from Jetking Academy India to FPT Education Organization was conducted. It marks a significant milestone in enhancing the training of semiconductor professionals in Vietnam.

The signing ceremony was attended by Mr. Harsh Bharwani - CEO of Jetking India, Mr. Suresh Bharwani - Chairman of Jetking India, Mr. Avisha Bharwani - Director of Jetking India, Mr. Indranil Kar - Vice Chairman of Jetking India, Mr. Le Truong Tung - Chairman of the University Council at FPT University, Mr. Nguyen Khac Thanh - Rector of FPT University, Ms. Nguyen Kim Anh - Head of Program Development Committee of FPT Education, Ms. Le Thi Hong Hanh - Director of FPT Academy International (FAI), and other FAI's representatives.

FPT Jetking received the official curriculum of the international training program on IC design.

The semiconductor industry stands as a cornerstone of modern technology. In response to this pressing challenge, Jetking Indian Academy, boasting over 77 years of experience in hardware and cybersecurity training, has pioneered an IC design training program. This initiative holds the potential to alleviate the personnel shortage, particularly amidst the promising growth trajectory of the industry.

Recognizing the pivotal role of the semiconductor industry, FPT Education has joined forces with Jetking Academy to introduce a high-quality international training program to Vietnam. This collaboration aims to broaden the horizons of the younger generation and technology enthusiasts by joining the FPT Jetking system.

Mr. Harsh Bharwani, CEO of Jetking India, expressed, "In order to align with market dynamics, Jetking will introduce a comprehensive IC training program in India and collaborate with FPT to implement the same in Vietnam. We firmly believe that both India and Vietnam are poised to emerge as prominent hubs for chip design and manufacturing, with the potential for exporting to markets across the Americas and Europe."

During the event, Mr. Harsh Bharwani emphasized the vast potential inherent in the semiconductor industry, especially IC design.

With a shared commitment to accelerating human resource development for the semiconductor industry, FPT Jetking and Jetking Academy India convened the signing ceremony in Mumbai to mark the curriculum transfer of the international training program, solidifying mutual support in student training endeavors. Mr. Nguyen Khac Thanh said, "Jetking's curriculum not only boasts advanced technology but also maintains close ties with the industry. Recognizing the imperative for systematic and comprehensive knowledge in the semiconductor industry, FPT Jetking has opted to introduce India's IC Design program to Vietnam. Through the study program offered by FPT Jetking, students will benefit from a streamlined curriculum lasting two years, characterized by high professional standards. With a focus on practical training, students can engage directly in their field of study, with up to 70% of the program dedicated to hands-on practice. Additionally, students can enhance their learning experience through project completion at the end of each semester, enabling them to consolidate their knowledge and skills.

Furthermore, FPT Jetking facilitates students' job opportunities and networking with prominent companies throughout the internship process, ensuring a seamless transition into the workforce and unlocking extensive domestic and international career prospects.

FPT initiated its research efforts in the semiconductor segment a decade ago. In 2023, the company received orders for 70 million chips in 2024 - 2025 for Taiwanese (Chinese), Korean, and Japanese customers in medical equipment and electronic applications. In readiness for the emerging demands of the semiconductor industry, FPT has actively engaged in training initiatives tailored to semiconductor technology. The company is strategically planning to augment its workforce with practical engineers and semiconductor technicians at the collegiate level in the future.
