Vietnam - ASIA DX Summit 2024 – FPT showcased its impressive technology ecosystem of "Building A Happier Future"

FPT Corporation participated in the Vietnam - Asia Digital Transformation Summit 2024 (Vietnam - ASIA DX Summit 2024), hosted and organized by the Vietnam Software and Information Technology Services Association (VINASA). The Summit's overarching theme was "Technology Brings Happiness: Digital Transformation, Green Transformation, Sustainable Development." At the event, Mr. Truong Gia Binh, Chairman of the Founding Council of VINASA and Chairman of FPT Corporation, along with FPT experts, shared profound insights and proposed digital and green transformation practices to help organizations and businesses develop the digital economy, paving the way for a future centered on sustainable development.

Attending the Vietnam DX Summit 2024 were Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang, Minister of Information and Communications Nguyen Manh Hung, along with leaders and senior experts from various relevant ministries and departments. These included the Ministry of Information and Communications (MIC), the Ministry of Planning and Investment, and the Ministry of Industry and Trade. Representatives from cities and provinces experiencing significant digital and green economic growth were also present.

Opening the event, Mr. Truong Gia Binh, Chairman of VINASA and FPT Corporation, emphasized that Vietnam and the Asian region are witnessing a significant surge in the demand for digital and green transformation. Businesses and organizations seek to leverage technology to enhance performance and generate new value. In this context, the Government of Vietnam has outlined its 2024 digital transformation strategy, focusing on four key pillars: the IT and Communications industry, the digitization of economic sectors, digital management, and digital data. These pillars are intended to drive rapid and sustainable economic development.

According to Mr. Truong Gia Binh, in addition to the inevitable trends of green transformation and digital transformation, there is also the emerging trend of Artificial Intelligence (AI) transformation. The advent of artificial superintelligence will introduce a new workforce – AI engineers, with AI permeating all fields.

Additionally, Mr. Truong Gia Binh noted that the automobile industry is evolving rapidly and highlighted that Vietnam has a significant advantage in its human resources. "Minister of Information and Communications Nguyen Manh Hung stated that Vietnamese people possess exceptional genes for scientific and technological research, particularly in mathematics, making them well-suited for careers in the IT and semiconductor industries. In fact, the global semiconductor industry is facing a shortage of millions of workers. Echoing this sentiment, Nvidia's CEO remarked: With 1 million people currently working in IT, if Vietnam transitions these workers to the semiconductor industry, the country will progress much faster", he affirmed.

Mr. Truong Gia Binh concluded that to fully harness the potential of digital and green transformation and drive dual development in both the digital and green economies, Vietnam must lead in developing key areas such as AI, semiconductors, and smart electric vehicles. He emphasized the need to concentrate human and financial capital on these critical technology sectors.

FPT collaborates with Vietnamese businesses to jointly develop the semiconductor industry

In addition to discussions on digital and green transformation, FPT technology experts shared valuable insights on semiconductor technology. It presents a significant opportunity for Vietnam to accelerate its growth and avoid the middle-income trap.

During the Semiconductor Industry Development Cooperation conference held on the morning of May 29, Mr. Truong Gia Binh, Chairman of VINASA and Chairman of FPT Corporation, emphasized the necessity for Vietnam to adopt a foreign strategy and focus all efforts on the semiconductor sector to seize a unique opportunity. He pledged FPT's commitment to partnering with VINASA and other businesses to advance the semiconductor industry. Recently, VINASA established the Semiconductor Industry Development Committee to mobilize experts, businesses, and partners to foster the semiconductor industry's growth in Vietnam collectively. The Committee will focus on the following activities: Training initiatives, Propagating and disseminating knowledge, Facilitating connections and collaborations, and Advocating and liaising with authorities at all levels to create incentives for domestic and international investors.

Furthermore, Mr. Tran Dang Hoa, Chairman of FPT IS, spearheaded a discussion titled "Chip - Semiconductor Human Resource Development: Challenges and Opportunities." This session drew participation from leaders of the Authority of ICT Industry and Communications (MIC), local authorities, and representatives from the National Innovation Center. The aim was to address the pertinent issues surrounding human resource development in the semiconductor field.

FPT experts provide guidance on strategies to expedite green transformation and foster the development of the digital economy for organizations and businesses

FPT experts engaged in numerous in-depth discussions during the seminar sessions at the Vietnam - ASIA DX Summit 2024. In the opening session on May 28, Mr. Nguyen Tuan Anh, Director of Sustainable Development Consulting at FPT Digital (an FPT subsidiary), presented "The Green and Digital Dual Growth Model in Businesses." He emphasized several key points for dual transformation: Methodological roadmap, Leadership awareness, and Digital assets that can drive economic development. Notably, human resources is crucial for ensuring the long-term sustainability of the transformation process.

During the session on Digital Transformation and Green Transformation held on the morning of May 29, Mr. Tran Duc Tri Quang, Director of Data at FPT IS (a subsidiary of FPT Corporation), provided solutions to assist organizations and businesses in "Leading Change: Accelerating Green Transformation Practices to International Standards."

During the Green Finance session on the morning of May 29, Ms. Nguyen Hong Oanh, TradeFlat Product Director at FPT IS, introduced the Digital Finance ecosystem as a means to activate sustainable development capacities within businesses.

During the Digital Transformation and Green Transformation session in Industrial Production on the afternoon of May 29, Mr. Dao Binh, Senior Business Analyst and Supply Chain & Production Expert at FPT Software, delivered a presentation on "Digital Twin Technology for Future Production Operations."

To conclude the seminar sessions, Mr. Nguyen Hoai Linh, Training Director of FPT Jetking, addressed the topic of "Building Trust in the Network Environment."
