In keeping with its mission to shape education for the future, VioEdu Online Education System (a division of FPT Corporation) formally presents VioKids, the first and only software that offers seven fundamental thinking processes to kids aged three to six.
Vietnamese parents have grown familiar with the terms "early education" and "pre-primary education" over time. But not everyone is aware of what early schooling really entails. In the past, a lot of people believed that early education meant allowing their kids to start reading, math, and the first grade curriculum early. However, parents, particularly those in the younger Gen Z and Millennial generations, are gradually coming to understand that early education is not about "learning early to be good," but rather about fostering children's capacity for long-term self-learning and awakening their thinking potential.
Fluency in reading and writing only represents a small portion of the early learning process. When children start first grade, the most crucial thing is to lay a strong foundation for them to be self-assured, focus, enjoy learning, and understand the nature of the problem in order to develop long-term learning capacity.
Unlocking fundamental thinking
VioKids creates systematic learning content based on preschoolers' cognitive and psychological levels, covering three main areas: logical thinking, Vietnamese, and world discovery. This is in contrast to many applications that tend to focus on just one or two types of thinking, like language and calculation. The goal is to activate seven core thinking skills.
Logical thinking: Helps children know how to analyze and reason systematically - an important foundation in learning and solving situations.
Creative thinking: Stimulates imagination and unconventional thinking, dare to try - make mistakes - change - dare to think differently.
Spatial modeling: Children are able to recognize shapes, structures, and determine location, which are fundamental thinking for STEM.
Generalization: Helps children identify rules, connect and exploit knowledge from many facts, which is the foundation of Mathematics.
Language: Develop storytelling, communication, and language thinking skills
Calculation: Forming numerical awareness, helping children recognize, measure, compare and perform mathematical operations.
Problem solving: Practice reflexive thinking, calmly handle situations, and persevere in the face of challenges.
Viokids "attracts attention" by stimulating children's brains to think efficiently with more than 400 interactive games with a vibrant user interface, circumstances relevant to Vietnamese children, and a 5-minute lesson length.
The lesson context is situations and spaces that are familiar to Vietnamese children.
By arranging interactive activities according to 07 forms of thinking, combined with AI technology and learning reports, VioKids helps parents easily identify their children's thinking strengths. When children have the ability to think from the root, learning first grade knowledge will no longer be a challenge, but an opportunity for children to break through.
Parents can track VioKids' assessment according to the results of each lesson or according to 07 thinking abilities.
Learning not only from the app
Early life education doesn't end with the app. VioKids is the first and only platform that still suggests activities for parents and kids to do at home after each lesson to help them put what they've learned into practice. Some of these activities include counting the number of dishes in a meal, identifying letters on a sign, recounting a game they just played with their parents, and more. Even though these activities are commonplace, VioKids' suggestions will make them the "material" that links parents and kids, increasing the efficacy of practice and learning as well as the online and offline worlds.
“After each lesson, I receive suggestions to interact with my child – like ‘Find the letter B on the food packaging’ or ‘Compare the number of fruits in the basket’. It sounds simple but my child learns very quickly, and we also have fun spending time play and learn together,” said Ms. Nguyen Thi Hien (Nam Tu Liem).
“Gen Z parents pay a lot of attention to understanding their children, their interests, strengths, weaknesses, and learning styles, but they lack time and are faced with many choices. When developing VioKids around 07 forms of thinking and integrating AI, we hope to untie all those knots so that modern parents can accompany their children more effectively,” said Mr. Nguyen Viet Cuong, CTO of VioKids, about the “problem” that VioKids solves.
Viokids inherits the technological and operational capabilities of VioEdu – an online education system that has reached over 20 million users in just 05 years. This new product continues to apply AI, while following the modern educational philosophy: developing thinking through positive experiences.
Currently, users can download the application and experience VioKids for free on CH Play and Appstore.
