FPT and Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology forge collaborations

Hanoi, on March 7, 2023, FPT Corporation announced its partnership with the Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology (PTIT) to expand human networks and promote education and scientific research in the fields of Technology, Electronics, and Telecommunications. 

Accordingly, the CEO of FPT Corporation - Mr.Nguyen Van Khoa - signed the agreement with the Director of PTIT - Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dang Hoai Bac - in terms of Training and Science & Technology.
Regarding Training activities, FPT will pave the way for students and lecturers of PTIT to maximize the hands-on experience and undertake research at FPT's subsidiaries and affiliates. The Corporation will also offer scholarships to PTIT's undergraduate and postgraduate students as well as provide financial aid for developing curricular materials and laboratories.

Besides, PTIT will build undergraduate, postgraduate, and specialized training programs to meet the high-quality labor demand of FPT. The two sides will join hands to organize annual activities to promote FPT's employer brand and job opportunities to PTIT's students.

In the fields of Science and Technology, both sides will jointly create co-branding products and organize science seminars based on each brand's strengths.

FPT CEO Nguyen Van Khoa said: "1,042 PTIT alumni are working at FPT, some of whom hold managerial positions in Vietnam and abroad. For example, let me mention Le Hong Hai - CEO of FPT Software Europe, Vu Tien Dat - Chief Delivery Officer of FPT Software, or Nguyen Xuan Bach - Branch Deputy Director of FPT Telecom.

FPT has been along with PTIT in technology research for many years, engaging students in learning and internship. Accelerating the growth momentum and creating better jobs, FPT has made significant changes to promote skilled labor inputs, such as increasing salaries for tech workers or rejuvenating the leadership team... In addition, FPT hopes to strengthen the strategic partnerships with universities to attract and train talented students, facilitating research and development of the most recent technology breakthroughs."

According to Mr. Nguyen Van Khoa, in the coming time, FPT will continue to accompany major universities across the country, especially those offering information technology programs. In response to CEO Nguyen Van Khoa, Prof. Dr. Tu Minh Phuong - PTIT Chairman - said: "After 35 years of development, FPT Corporation has made remarkable achievements. PTIT also turns 25 this year. During that time, the two sides maintained a close relationship. In particular, the first course of PTIT only had about 40 students, a quarter of whom worked at FPT. In some academic years, a faculty had more than 200 students as FPT interns. In addition, PTIT teachers and students are always actively participating in FPT's key projects. In the coming time, with our challenging growth goals, we will strive to accompany FPT to provide a skilled labor force, contributing to the development of the Corporation.

Mr. Vu Tien Dat - Chief Delivery Officer- FPT Software, a PTIT alumnus, said that in 1999, he chose to study at PTIT after graduating from high school due to his interest in IT. "It was the right decision. And I am always proud to be a part of PTIT as teachers facilitated my studies and fostered my professional skills. After graduation, I was fortunate to obtain a job at FPT, thereby having the opportunity to work in Japan. In the current position of Chief Delivery Officer, I feel appreciated for my professional development. PTIT and FPT are the places that have been nurturing me so that I can be where I am today. I hope the two sides will continue to have comprehensive, strong cooperation to foster young generations' education and career development," said Mr. Vu Tien Dat.

In early 2023, FPT welcomed its 60,000th employee in its 35th birthday year. The high-skilled labor force has always been maintaining its sustainable growth. As of the end of 2022, FPT recorded revenue of 44,017 billion VND and profit before tax of 7,654 billion VND, up 23.4% and 20.8%, respectively, over the same period last year. The results have achieved 104% of revenue and 100% of profit goals set by the 2022 AGM. Moreover, they show the relentless efforts of the leadership team and staff in achieving the growth goal of over 20% per year.
