FPT and Foreign Trade University forge collaborations

Hanoi, June 26, 2023, FPT Corporation announced its partnership with Foreign Trade University (FTU) to collaborate in network expansion and promote education and scientific research in fields that both sides share common development goals.

Attending the event were Mr. Nguyen Van Khoa - CEO of FPT Corporation; Mr. Nguyen The Phuong - Executive Vice President of FPT Corporation; and leaders of functional departments and subsidiaries.

On behalf of FTU, there were Assoc. Dr. Bui Anh Tuan - Secretary of the Party Committee, Rector; Assoc. Dr. Le Thi Thu Thuy - Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairperson of the University Council; Assoc. Dr. Pham Thu Huong - Vice Rector.

Accordingly, FPT and FTU will collaborate in training and scientific research. Regarding training activities, FPT will support FTU students and lecturers in hands-on experience, researching, and co-guiding graduation projects. Moreover, FPT Corporation will provide scholarships for undergraduate and postgraduate programs as well as financial aid for developing curricular materials and laboratories. It also accompanies FTU in building a new cooperation model, focuses on Globalization, and equips simulation technology in teaching activities to visualize lectures.

FPT and FTU will collaborate in two areas: training and scientific research.

On the other side, FTU will build undergraduate, postgraduate, and specialized training programs to meet the high-quality labor demand of FPT. The two sides will join hands to organize annual activities to promote FPT's employer brand and job opportunities to FTU students.

In Scientific research, both sides will jointly solve scientific issues, create co-branding products and organize science seminars to discuss FPT's research achievements.

At the signing ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Van Khoa - FPT CEO - said: "FPT has more than 800 employees who are FTU alumni, among which become corporate senior managers. Their success is the biggest reward for the tremendous previous efforts of their teachers.

FPT and FTU have the same principle: we are one family, sharing a deep philosophy of Asians. In addition to studying and working together, people also care about each other's life issues. It means we can express our point of view like family members".

According to Mr. Nguyen Van Khoa, in the next 13 years, FPT will reach one million employees. He hoped 20% of FTU students would become FPT employees by then. The road of Vietnam and FPT is widely open to growing further in Information Technology.

"Hopefully, more FTU students will choose to start their career path at FPT, solving major global technology problems. And more talented students will be successful in managerial positions. The two sides will cooperate more deeply to put Vietnam higher on the global tech map", emphasized Mr. Nguyen Van Khoa.

As an FTU alumnus majoring in Foreign Economic Relations, Mr. Nguyen The Phuong - Executive Vice President of FPT Corporation - also share some thought. He said he has two pieces of luck in life: choosing the right school and workplace to dedicate himself to. "I am always proud of FTU and grateful to my teachers.
