FPT - Vietnam’s company with the largest number of employees in Japan

According to VnDirect, FPT Software Japan is a tech company with the largest number of employees in this country. The company currently has 12 offices, creating jobs for more than 1,500 employees in Japan. Besides, 8,000 technology engineers proficient in Japanese in Vietnam are supporting projects. Being highly appreciated by its partners and customers for its technological capability, ability to deploy high-quality projects, as well as team of experts proficient in Japanese, FPT has become a strategic technology partner of a series of Japanese giants with billions of dollars in revenue such as Honda, SCSK, Toshiba, Panasonic etc.

Over the past 15 years, FPT Japan has always maintained a high growth rate (around 30%/year) and is FPT’s most important market in IT outsourcing, contributing over 50% to the total revenue from foreign markets.

FPT Japan also paved the way for other Vietnamese businesses to enter this market, and built up strong relationships with organizations, associations and businesses in Japan. In April 2020, FPT became a member of Japan Business Federation (Keidanren) - one of the most influential organizations on the international business and economic development policy of Japan, keen to bridge the business community of the two countries.

On November 11^th, the Minister of Information and Communications gave the company the Certificate of Merit to FPT Japan for its contributions to Vietnam's information and communication technology (ICT) industry over the past 15 years.

In the domestic market, the Company has been expected to undertake the country's great missions, especially in the Make in Vietnam strategy to promote the spirit of self-reliance in the digital age,” stated Deputy Minister of Information and Communications Phan Tam. “It is expected that FPT will continue pioneering in innovation and breakthrough in national digital transformation”, added he.

“Over the past 15 years, FPT Japan has witnessed 3 common socio-economic crises in Japan. After each one, the Company even grew more strongly. At present, besides becoming Vietnam’s company with the largest number of employees in Japan, FPT Japan has built up consulting and technology capacity and reached a certain position in consulting. Fifteen years ago, FPT arrived in Japan to look for jobs, but now the company has not only created thousands of jobs, but also affirmed the Vietnamese IT brand in Japan as one of the biggest foreign IT companies in this market,” Mr. Tran Dang Hoa, Deputy General Director of FPT Software cum FPT Japan Chairman spoke at the event.
