FPT Leader Talk 2024 Offers Student Interviews for Prospective Job Positions

On May 9, 2024, HCMC, FPT Corporation inaugurated a series of "Leader Talk - Journey To Your Future" programs for students, commencing at Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU). During the event, FPT's senior leaders shared their personal narratives and practical insights, offering a glimpse into FPT's organizational culture and dynamic work environment. Furthermore, they actively disseminated knowledge about AI technology. Besides, FPT leaders conducted direct interviews, providing students with invaluable opportunities to explore potential career paths in FPT.

The program welcomed distinguished members of the University Executive Board and representatives from the school's Deans. Among the esteemed guests were senior leaders from FPT Corporation, including Mr. Nguyen Van Khoa, CEO; Mr. Vu Anh Tu, CTO; and Mr. Chu Quang Huy, CHRO.

Dr. Vo Hoang Duy, Vice Principal of Ton Duc Thang University, commenced the event: "One year following the cooperation agreement between FPT and TDTU, FPT has provided scholarships, internship opportunities, career guidance support, and recruitment avenues. Today, TDTU students have the valuable chance to immerse themselves in FPT's culture and explore job opportunities. We anticipate that the Corporation will continue to introduce further activities at TDTU."

Mr. Vo Hoang Duy, Vice Principal of Ton Duc Thang University, addressed the program attendees.

Continuing the program, FPT's CEO, Mr. Nguyen Van Khoa, introduced FPT Corporation, its culture, and its working environment. In particular, Mr. Nguyen Van Khoa shared his personal journey from an economics student to becoming the CEO of Vietnam's leading IT Corporation.

Offering advice to students, FPT's CEO recommended that they pursue studies while employed, beginning from entry-level positions and performing those roles excellently. "Embarking on employment during your second year will grant you greater experience than your peers. Consequently, it will pave the way for more expansive development opportunities. At this stage, income level should not be the primary criterion; instead, concentrate on learning and gaining work experience."

Mr. Nguyen Van Khoa affirmed that young individuals will have numerous opportunities to assume significant roles within FPT: "In the future, FPT aims to have a workforce of 1 million professionals by 2035. We are seeking talents like you to drive global digital transformation alongside FPT, expanding the Make-in-Vietnam product ecosystem and nurturing new technology unicorns!"

Furthermore, TDTU students engaged with Mr. Vu Anh Tu, CTO of FPT, a leading technology expert. During the session, Mr. Vu Anh Tu emphasized the significance of AI in both professional environments and daily life. When introducing the book "The Age of AI" to students, Mr. Vu Anh Tu emphasized: "AI is not just an industry or a product; it's a versatile tool that transcends boundaries, impacting every aspect of life from scientific research to daily routines. It stands as the most prominent technology of today. FPT's AI applications boast advanced capabilities and adaptable customizations, making them suitable for various domains. With AI's assistance, we can achieve more, enhance quality, and enrich our lifestyles".

Moreover, Mr. Tu elaborated on the AI product ecosystem developed by FPT, providing students with a more precise and realistic understanding of this emerging technology. This allowed them to grasp FPT's technological capabilities and the Corporation's AI development direction.

After the Q&A session between TDTU students and FPT Corporation's senior leaders, the program's most anticipated "Interview and Recruitment" session begins. It marks an innovative shift in the content format of the FPT Leader Talk - Journey To Your Future program series. For the first time, students undergo direct interviews with senior leaders of FPT Corporation, presenting them with the opportunity to secure official employment with FPT.

To prepare for the interview and recruitment session, FPT collaborated with TDTU to identify the top two profiles from among numerous IT students. Additionally, the organizers randomly selected students to participate in the event, providing them with the chance for a final interview opportunity.

Tran Thi Kieu Anh, a senior student from the Faculty of Business Administration, emerged as one of the top candidates securing the chance to partake in the direct interview round. Apart from her outstanding academic performance marked by notable achievements, Tran Thi Kieu Anh holds the esteemed title of Miss Ton Duc Thang University 2023.

Sharing her sentiments regarding the program and the interview, Kieu Anh expressed that it was an immensely nerve-wracking yet captivating and unforgettable experience. "This has been my first experience being interviewed live on stage, in front of thousands of students and by senior leaders of a major corporation, so I felt incredibly nervous. However, I believe that becoming an official employee of FPT will allow me to develop my full potential. FPT is a large, reputable corporation with a professional environment, standardized work processes, and comprehensive employee training", Kieu Anh said.
