On the occasion of its 38th anniversary, FPT Corporation has launched a project to build and upgrade 38 libraries in line with standards set by Vietnam’s Ministry of Education and Training at 38 schools facing challenging conditions across the country.
Beyond providing books and improving facilities, the project aims to create modern learning spaces where books and technology come together, expanding students’ access to knowledge and inspiring them to learn. The first libraries are expected to be completed before the start of the 2026–2027 academic year.
Under the plan, 38 libraries will be newly built or renovated at schools with limited learning facilities across Vietnam. The project is jointly supported by the FPT People’s Community Fund — funded in part through FPT employees’ annual one-day salary contribution initiative — together with contributions from FPT Corporation, the Hope Foundation, and partners.
38 digital libraries will be developed at schools across Vietnam to mark FPT’s 38th anniversary.
Beyond financial contributions, FPT employees will be directly involved in bringing the libraries to life. Thirty-eight implementation teams from FPT member companies will work alongside the participating schools throughout the entire process, from assessing existing conditions and identifying needs to developing plans, carrying out renovations, and completing and handing over the libraries.
FPT employees will also bring a distinctive dimension to the project by combining a culture of reading with technology and hands-on learning experiences. In addition to renovated bookshelves and reading spaces, students will have opportunities to access digital learning resources and learn how to use AI effectively in their studies, with guidance from FPT employees.
Each library will be developed through a series of activities, including renovating the space; providing tables, chairs, bookshelves, cabinets, and other furnishings; adding at least 1,000 book titles selected based on recommendations and choices from each school; providing access to a digital library and electronic learning resources; and organizing workshops on AI, technology, and digital skills led directly by FPT experts.
FPT employees will directly participate in developing 38 libraries across Vietnam.
Libraries are currently a mandatory facility for general education schools in Vietnam, supporting teaching and learning, student competency development, and a culture of reading. While school libraries traditionally served primarily as spaces for storing and lending books, digital transformation is expanding their role into learning environments where students can access diverse sources of knowledge, electronic learning materials, and technology tools.
The project also supports Vietnam’s Library Digital Transformation Program through 2025, with an orientation toward 2030, issued by the Prime Minister, which focuses on accelerating the development of digital libraries and improving access to and sharing of information resources.
Against this backdrop, the 38 libraries that FPT is supporting to build and renovate are intended to go beyond simply adding books or improving reading spaces. Through the project, FPT aims to expand access to knowledge and technology for students in underserved communities while contributing to Vietnam’s broader goals for education development and national digital transformation in education.
