FPT IS provided anti-ticket speculation remedy for railway industry

Vietnam Railways announced that from 12 o’clock on October July, time parameter and a few function on online ticket website would be adjusted and added to avoid ticket speculation and artificial ticket storage on the online ticket system.

Vietnam Railways set the target of increase by 8% in sales compared to 2018, revenue increase from 7% and above.

Accordingly, passengers who book seats and choose online payment have to complete the payment within 30 minutes (former is 60 minutes). Passengers who book seats and choose deferred payment have to compete the payment within 12 hours (former is 24 hours). Passengers have to purchase online ticket in 60 minutes before train leaves (former is 70 minutes). Passengers who purchase ticket in 4 hours before train leaves are not allowed to return and change them. (Tet Holiday is specified with particular rules).

Besides, Vietnam Railway is about to release customer loyalty card. For the first year, customers, when buying ticket at offline merchants of Saigon Railways will redeem a discount of 5% with customer loyalty card, 10% with silver card and 15% with the gold card.

According to Mr. Bui Thanh Binh, FPT IS FTS Director, anti-ticket speculation remedy will be deployed as soon as possible to enhance efficiency of Railways Industry – FPT IS partner.

FPT IS is presently integrating ticket system to classified each route, train, leave and arrive time into particular group to send messages to customers whenever any delayed or late situation may happen like in aviation industry.

In 2014, FPT IS signed the contract about the construction of online ticket system with Vietnam Railways. The contract followed 3 periods in 7 years.

The cooperation has brought many function to customers when FPT IS started to integrated modern technology model in on-sales tickets and online purchase.

Up to now, commuters can purchase the ticket without going to offline merchants. They are able to do the payment through Payoo or Momo. These method enables easier and more convenient ticket purchase only with mobile phone.
